About the position

The Financial Business Analyst role is crucial for supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of finance business systems. This position acts as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders and technical teams. The analyst will oversee financial and accounting projects, manage project scopes, and ensure successful delivery of projects while collaborating with various teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation for projects.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, performing risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Conduct gap analysis and process mapping to identify areas of improvement within existing systems.
  • Provide insights on current application functionalities and possible enhancements.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to analyze and design system solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for project business requirements and develop business cases.
  • Participate in meetings to understand business requirements and enhance systems.
  • Perform and oversee all testing activities related to financial software used in the department.
  • Document and track issues, working with technical teams to resolve bugs and defects.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Business Analyst experience, with some project management duties.
  • Experience managing financial/accounting projects from discovery to deployment.
  • Proficiency in building roadmaps using Azure.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
