About the position

The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Finance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) analytics and reporting environments. This role ensures stable systems and smooth-running applications, focusing on PeopleSoft system performance and integration with other financial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and maintain PeopleSoft system performance, including performance tuning as needed.
  • Be included in the 'on call' list for potential issues/problems during overnight processing.
  • Monitor Integration Broker for email and approvals processing.
  • Manage all PeopleSoft development, test, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with Database Administrators to rebuild/clone PeopleSoft environments as needed.
  • Set up and maintain application servers, process schedulers, and web servers.
  • Perform People Tools and application upgrades as needed.
  • Download and install PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) images quarterly.
  • Apply patches and updates and perform project migrations as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors and staff to develop, evaluate, install, and test software enhancements.
  • Oversee customization development from requirements gathering to production migration and support.
  • Work with PeopleSoft developers to resolve issues, tune code, and execute database queries.
  • Track People Tools object changes and migrate between environments as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for the Hyperion Systems Administrator to support the Essbase application.
  • Administer Oracle financial services analytical applications, including metadata management and data loads.
  • Partner with various administrators and analysts on application upgrades and replacements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or IT; Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of related experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience administering financial ERP or similar systems preferred.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft Application Designer and maintaining PeopleSoft's architecture.
  • Ability to perform basic Oracle or SQL database administration tasks required.
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning Suite and Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications is a plus.
  • Understanding of Banking reporting requirements, budgeting, and forecasting in a financial services organization preferred.

  • Experience with Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Financial Reports.
