About the position

The Financial Systems Analyst I position at Vector CSP LLC involves providing engineering and technical support to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic for the USCG Integrated Product Team (IPT). The role focuses on the engineering, integration, and technical services necessary to outfit Coast Guard cutters with C5I systems, as well as standalone shipboard systems. The analyst will engage in financial management support for various projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and assisting in budget preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with clients to restructure debt, refinance debt, or raise new debt.
  • Create client presentations of plan details.
  • Determine the prices at which securities should be syndicated and offered.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Draw charts and graphs, using computer spreadsheets, to illustrate technical reports.
  • Employ financial models to develop solutions to financial problems or to assess the financial or capital impact of transactions.
  • Evaluate and compare the relative quality of various securities.
  • Evaluate capital needs of clients and assess market conditions to inform structuring of financial packages.
  • Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions.
  • Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs.
  • Monitor developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory.
  • Provide technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets; interpret and apply financial management principles; and apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience providing financial management support to a program/project and/or corporate operations department.
  • Proficient in research methods, statistical analysis, and the use of financial/analytical software (spreadsheets).
  • Technical expertise in relevant systems, methodologies, and tools applicable to the industry.
  • Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, develop creative solutions, and apply sound judgment to resolve challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for effectively conveying information to stakeholders and team members, including report writing and presentations.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, processes, and deliverables while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and industry requirements.
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
