About the position

The Financial Systems Analyst position at the University of Oklahoma is designed to provide both functional and technical support for the Financial Aid and Bursar offices. This role is crucial in ensuring that the financial systems operate smoothly and efficiently, adhering to institutional, state, and federal regulations. The analyst will be responsible for various tasks including the setup of financial aid processes, reporting, and website maintenance, which are essential for the effective functioning of the university's financial services. In terms of responsibilities, the analyst will assist with the annual and term-based setup for the Financial Aid and Bursar offices within the ERP system. This includes managing budgeting, packaging, disbursement rules, tuition and fees, and handling 1098Ts and Warrant Intercept processes. The role also involves scheduling and maintaining recurring processes for Student Financial Services, which encompasses the Financial Aid master job set and the Bursar Financial Responsibility Agreement. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to the increasing demand for various reports required by university departments, colleges, and federal/state agencies, ensuring that all reporting needs are met in a timely manner. Another key aspect of this position is website maintenance. The analyst will be tasked with updating and maintaining the Financial Aid and Bursar's Office websites, ensuring that all information is current and accurately reflects the annual published cost and budget sheets. Furthermore, the analyst will coordinate testing for the Campus Solutions ERP system, including patches, upgrades, and maintenance for Student Financial Services. The role may also involve other duties or special projects as assigned, making it a dynamic position within the university's financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the completion of required annual and term-based setup for the Financial Aid and Bursar offices within the ERP system.
  • Schedule and maintain recurring processes for Student Financial Services.
  • Contribute to the demand for adhoc, monthly, term, and annual reporting needed by university departments and federal/state agencies.
  • Maintain the Financial Aid and Bursar's Office website.
  • Update and maintain annual published cost/budget sheets for the websites.
  • Coordinate testing for the Campus Solutions ERP system patches, upgrades, and maintenance for Student Financial Services.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 36 months experience in system analysis, database management, or financial management.

Nice-to-haves

  • 12 months experience in Higher Education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and provide complex annual reports, statements, and/or projections.
  • Knowledge of a range of automated financial systems and applications software.
