The Financial Systems Analyst position is located within the Information & Technology Directorate at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). This role is critical in maintaining system compliance with various federal regulations, including the Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The analyst will be responsible for supporting both internal and external IT audits across multiple systems, which includes assessing IT controls and validating corrective actions for any identified deficiencies. In addition to audit support, the Financial Systems Analyst will develop comprehensive responses to auditors' Notifications of Findings and Recommendations (NFR). This involves outlining corrective actions, risk mitigations, and necessary Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M). The position may also require the analyst to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and compliance of the financial systems within the organization. This position is open to all U.S. citizens and is a permanent, full-time role. The selected candidate will be expected to obtain and maintain a Financial Management Certification as a condition of employment. The role is subject to a background investigation and may require a security clearance. The analyst will work closely with various teams within the I&T Directorate and may be involved in filling positions on other teams as needed.
