About the position

The Finance Systems Analyst role at Deloitte focuses on supporting the operation, enhancement, and integration of finance-led systems, particularly SAP S/4 HANA. This position serves as a liaison between Information Technology and various Finance stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and implementation of system changes. The analyst will contribute to the management of a portfolio of finance systems while developing subject matter expertise in finance processes and technology needs.

Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve S/4 HANA application issues & data integrity issues
  • Conduct research and analysis of finance processes and/or SAP system issues
  • Monitor and provide status on issues impacting the firm's ERP system
  • Provide developers with business requirements
  • Partner with testing team to share knowledge and advise on test scripts
  • Collaborate with business and process area representatives within Finance and ITS
  • Evaluate manual and automated financial work processes, systems, and procedures for efficiency of workflow and accuracy
  • Identify and recommend needed process improvements
  • Analyze system design alternatives for new financial accounting systems, processes and/or improvements to existing systems
  • Review and monitor accounting systems to ensure accuracy with financial reports

Requirements

  • Understanding of finance systems and processes, especially experience with SAP S/4 HANA and supportive finance applications
  • Experience with client WBS structure, Contracts, Work in Progress (WIP) management, Planning, Forecasting, Billing and Accounts Receivable is a plus
  • Ability to bring business perspective to defining long-term sustainable solutions
  • Excellent written and conversational communication skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to logically structure issues and determine recommended resolutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team, but also be a self-starter
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
