The Financial Systems Application Engineer will play a crucial role in collaborating with the enterprise applications team and finance stakeholders to define end-user requirements and functionality specifications for OneStream. This position involves working with various modules such as forecasting, people planning, budgeting, tax drill back, and accounting. The engineer will be responsible for OneStream application development, which includes creating business rules, forms, workflows, cube views, and member formulas. Additionally, the role requires building and maintaining data integrations, transformations, and automations using APIs or other technologies. The engineer will also handle scenario maintenance and administrative system tasks to prepare for critical business cycles, including budget initiation and planning cycles. A significant part of the job involves leading problem determination through root cause analysis, documenting the source of problems, and their resolutions. The engineer will recognize and analyze trends in errors to identify and implement long-term solutions. Furthermore, the role includes developing detailed configuration parameters, custom extensions, workflows, and integration solutions while ensuring governance to maintain consistent standards. Designing new dashboards for key metric tracking and insights, as well as modifying existing OneStream solutions according to user specifications, is also a key responsibility. The engineer will develop ad hoc analyses to support various non-standard reporting inquiries and activities, making this position integral to the financial systems landscape of the organization.
