Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Financial System and Process Analyst with previous experience in general accounting in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team! The Financial System and Process Analyst role is responsible for supporting Buckeye's General Ledger consolidation and reporting systems processes through management of the consolidation system and data governance. The role partners with the Finance team and the Buckeye community to ensure proper reporting and data planning for the Buckeye organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include performing the Application Business Administrator role to support Finance department initiatives for the consolidation application, including hierarchy maintenance, audit report reviews, and running consolidation processes. The candidate will be the key point-of-contact for Application Data Governance, interacting with the Finance team and other internal customers to develop and support application framework, key reporting, and data configuration. Additionally, the role involves performing JDE application GL Governance, including maintenance of business units and accounts needed for finance activities, and acting as a key liaison with the IT team to meet critical business objectives. The candidate will also contribute to the search for Process Automation opportunities and assist with the implementation of projects, as well as assist with testing around application development, user acceptance, and coordination with Information Technology to ensure completeness and effectiveness of functional and user testing. Furthermore, the role includes performing and reviewing internal controls and account reconciliations related to Governance and other activities to ensure data and systems integrity is maintained, along with conducting ad-hoc analysis to mitigate financial system issues and provide assurance for various areas of interest.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, Information Systems or other related discipline required.
  • 5+ years of progressive professional experience.
  • Experience with managing application hierarchies and/or reports preferred.
  • Hyperion and OneStream experience a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements (i.e. Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cashflow) and impacts.
  • Management reporting and Consolidation experience is helpful.
  • Prior JDE experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.
  • Self-starter that can work with minimal supervision.
