About the position

The Financial Systems Senior Manager (FS Senior Manager) is responsible for overseeing a team that provides business support, reporting, and analytic solutions for financial systems and business process integrations. This role focuses on managing strategic investments, ensuring successful project completions, and transferring system knowledge across the organization. The FS Senior Manager implements financial system initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency and engages with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a team providing business support and analytic solutions for financial systems.
  • Implement financial system initiatives to address business issues and enhance system efficiency.
  • Evaluate software and hardware products for potential purchase and implementation.
  • Determine resources needed for financial system solutions and collaborate with end users.
  • Manage projects effectively, including directing cross-functional teams and tracking project tasks.
  • Ensure documentation meets project deliverables and schedules.
  • Manage project budgets and communicate costs effectively.
  • Supervise and mentor Financial Systems Managers and Analysts.
  • Gather functional requirements for projects and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Formulate objectives and assess risks for financial system solutions.
  • Make recommendations to senior management for new projects and applications.
  • Provide leadership for the functional setup of business applications and system updates.
  • Resolve complex transactional issues and ensure data integrity.
  • Promote the deployment of unified finance systems across firms.
  • Coordinate problem resolution related to disaster recovery and reporting.
  • Communicate financial system concepts to business owners and executives.
  • Identify and prioritize system gaps between current state and industry best practices.
  • Document and share financial system insights with cross-functional teams.
  • Train team members on audit controls and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in managing financial systems and business process integrations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to business acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and project deliverables effectively.
  • Experience in evaluating software and hardware solutions for business needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and analytics tools.
