About the position

The Financial Wellness Associate (FWA) at KeyBank serves as a trusted advisor and partner to clients, focusing on enhancing their financial wellness. This role involves a mix of client servicing and transaction support, with a significant emphasis on engaging clients in meaningful conversations to identify their financial needs and provide tailored solutions. The FWA is integral to the branch team, working to attract new clients and deepen relationships with existing ones, all while ensuring compliance and maintaining a strong client experience culture.

Responsibilities

• Embody a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate.
• Accept and accurately process all financial service transactions, identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships.
• Act as a resource to identify and resolve complex client servicing issues.
• Listen for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and transition clients to a Banker as needed.
• Provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
• Consistently attain individual activity, behavior, and outcome expectations.
• Participate in and occasionally facilitate morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
• Follow compliance, audit, and security procedures, balancing cash drawer within guidelines.
• Develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners, focusing on client acquisition and relationship deepening.
• Review and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required).
• Experience in developing client relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources (required).
• Experience in cash handling (required).
• General understanding of PC with Windows-based applications (required).
• Working knowledge of digital technology and ability to educate clients on digital platforms (required).

Nice-to-haves

• Notary License (preferred).

Benefits

• Base hourly rate of $18.75 to $27.40 depending on experience and location.
