About the position

The Financial Wellness Consultant (FWC) at KeyBank serves as a trusted advisor and partner to clients, focusing on enhancing their financial wellness through personalized guidance and solutions. This role combines banking responsibilities with teller transactions, aiming to build strong relationships with both new and existing clients. The FWC is expected to actively engage in client interactions, identify financial opportunities, and contribute to the overall client experience while adhering to compliance and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate.
• Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and provide effective recommendations.
• Consistently attains individual activity, behavior, and outcome expectations.
• Accepts and accurately processes all financial service transactions, identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships.
• Opening personal and business accounts and various deposit products.
• Developing strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners.
• Ensuring compliance with operational, security, and audit procedures and policies.
• Participate in and occasionally facilitate morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
• Performs other duties as assigned, with responsibilities subject to change.
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, acting professionally and ethically.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience (required).
• 1-3 years of experience in developing customer relationships and achieving sales goals (required).
• Experience in cash handling (required).
• General understanding of PC with Windows based applications (required).
• Working knowledge of digital technology and ability to educate clients on digital platforms (required).
• Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients (required).
• Understanding of consumer credit (preferred).
