About the position
The Financing & Collateral Management Analyst will play a crucial role in building a centralized portfolio-finance and collateral-management function at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB). This position focuses on optimizing collateral use, delivering efficient financing solutions, and managing liquidity centrally. The analyst will actively monitor securities borrowing, lending, and repo finance activities to ensure optimized rates and maintain oversight of collateral sufficiency, contributing to the overall investment structure of the Core and Variable Trust Funds.
Responsibilities
- Participate in building a centralized portfolio-finance and collateral-management function at the Fund level.
- Optimize collateral use across the agency and deliver efficient financing solutions.
- Allocate and track collateral use centrally and manage liquidity.
- Monitor securities borrowing, lending, and repo finance relationships to ensure optimized rates.
- Provide daily instructions to move positions for optimized lending and borrowing.
- Monitor lending and borrowing relationships for counterparty risk and collateral sufficiency oversight.
- Ensure reporting and transparency within the Asset & Risk Allocation division and the rest of SWIB.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with Repo, Stock borrow/loan, Prime Brokerage, or Swaps.
- Experience with XLS, SQL, and Power BI.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- High service orientation with a collaborative attitude.
- Ability to innovate, multi-task, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Exceptional logical reasoning and analytical skills.
