About the position

Vinifera Imports is looking for a highly motivated Fine Wine Sales Representative to promote and sell fine Italian wines in the Houston, TX area. This role involves working with both off-premise and on-premise accounts, leveraging extensive wine knowledge and interpersonal skills to build relationships and drive sales. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Italian wine and a strong work ethic, contributing to the company's reputation as a leading importer and distributor of fine wines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sales calls to promote and sell fine wines to potential clients.
• Utilize strong communication skills to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
• Utilize negotiation skills to secure deals and meet sales targets.
• Leverage wine knowledge to educate clients and make tailored recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to strategize and implement effective sales techniques.
• Utilize computer literacy to input and track sales data accurately.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of fine wine, particularly Italian wine.
• Polished interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Wine sales experience.
• Strong work ethic with a pronounced ambition to succeed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in fine wine sales, including familiarity with market and key accounts.
• Extensive restaurant experience working with fine wine.
• Advanced wine education (MS/MW programs or equivalent).
