About the position

The Finish Technician at Flexjet is responsible for performing general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems. This role encompasses a variety of tasks including the removal and installation of cabinets, modification, re-laminating, re-finishing, veneering, or fabrication of new cabinets. The technician must possess the ability to spray and polish gloss and satin coatings, perform minor modifications, and execute wood touch-up repairs. Additionally, the technician is expected to maintain and repair equipment and tooling as required, ensuring cleanliness in the shop and surrounding areas. The role may require working independently and performing any other job-related duties as assigned by management. This position is crucial in ensuring that the aircraft interiors meet the high standards of quality and safety expected in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems.
• Remove and install cabinets as needed.
• Modify, re-laminate, re-finish, veneer, or fabricate new cabinets.
• Spray and polish gloss/satin coatings on cabinetry.
• Perform minor modifications to existing cabinetry.
• Conduct wood touch-up repairs as necessary.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tooling when required.
• Ensure cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Work independently when required.
• Complete any other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years' experience on aircraft cabinetry including building, modification, and finishing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude within aviation, with an understanding of aircraft interiors and associated components, including repairs and fabrications.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in aviation maintenance software programs, with a preference for Corridor background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
• Ability to follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
