About the position

The Production Associate - Finishing is responsible for the cleaning, deburring, belting, and polishing of high-quality implants in a medical manufacturing environment. This role supports various finishing processes and ensures quality standards are met while adhering to safety and operational protocols.

Responsibilities

• Reads routers and work instructions and follows instructions accordingly.
• Uses hand tools, air tools, or polishing lathes to create the desired surface finish on the implants.
• Duplicates the same process from part to part.
• Verifies quality by visual inspection against known standards.
• Completes all documentation as instructed.
• Changes wheels or replaces belts on polishing lathes.
• Changes tools on powered equipment.
• Cleans polishing lathe as needed.
• Operates ultrasonic cleaners and adds solutions as necessary.
• Monitors dust collector.
• Supports Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives as needed.
• Trains and mentors new associates if needed.
• Works overtime as necessary.
• Performs other jobs as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years' related experience.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Possesses basic knowledge of safety equipment and practices.
