About the position

The Fire Alarm Service Technician role involves servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fire alarm systems and related products. The position requires a strong focus on quality, professionalism, and customer service, along with the ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for servicing all products and equipment on assigned service calls and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Use a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair systems.
• Read and interpret product specifications and work with building specifications, drawings, and designs.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer's location.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes practices and regulations.
• Complete accurate written service work reports and related forms.
• Analyze and complete repairs as needed.
• Manage truck inventory responsibly.
• Perform preventative maintenance, service repairs, and modifications as requested by customers.
• Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions and run after-hour service calls while on call.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of the service industry, electrical and mechanical methods, materials, equipment, and fire alarm codes and practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid Fire Alarm License
• National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies certification
• Experience in fire alarm systems
