About the position

The Fire Protection Service Technician at Fredriksen Fire Equipment Co. is responsible for estimating, servicing, and inspecting various fire protection systems, including fire extinguishers, suppression systems, alarms, and sprinklers. This role requires strong mechanical skills, excellent communication, and customer service abilities, as well as a sales aptitude to promote products and services effectively.

Responsibilities

• Sell, inspect, and service fire extinguishers and other fire suppression systems
• Respond to trouble/emergency calls
• Sell and promote Fredriksen general products and services
• Maintain established route and develop new business
• Complete and process required paperwork daily
• Represent Fredriksen in a professional and positive manner
• Ensure high level of customer service, satisfaction and communication
• Interact professionally with Fredriksen staff
• Follow safety rules and have good driving habits
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Customer-oriented interpersonal skills and sales aptitude
• Dependable, organized, motivated and able to multi-task
• Technical and/or mechanical knowledge and abilities
• Able to pass employment background investigation and drug screening
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to routinely lift 50 pounds
• Able to obtain necessary licensing and certifications

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in HVAC, pipefitting or other mechanical experience
