The Fire Safety Director (F-89 Required) position at Harvard Protection Services is a full-time role based in Midtown Manhattan, operating from Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM. This position is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the facility and its occupants. The Fire Safety Director will be responsible for providing professional, customer-focused security and life safety services, maintaining a visible presence in the assigned building, and leading a team of staff members. The role requires a proactive approach to monitoring the environment for suspicious and unsafe activities, as well as familiarity with the facility's policies and procedures. The Fire Safety Director will also be involved in emergency action planning, fire protection, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. In addition to overseeing the safety protocols, the Fire Safety Director will be responsible for answering phones professionally, permitting authorized individuals to enter the property, and monitoring entrances and exits. The position involves testing and inspecting fire extinguishers and other fire protection devices, preparing reports on inspections and violations, and maintaining records as required by law. The Fire Safety Director may also be called upon to perform firefighting duties during emergencies and assist in conducting fire drills.
