About The Position

The Fire Sprinkler Inspector position is responsible for performing building sprinkler inspections, which includes testing devices, recording and generating results, and providing detailed reports. This role is crucial in ensuring that all inspections are completed accurately and on time, contributing to the safety and compliance of various facilities. As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will assist both the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating necessary paperwork, including Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates. You will be expected to test all building sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions of the sprinkler system, entering the test results into a Palm handheld device. Upon completion of an inspection, you will download the information and generate a completed Sprinkler Inspection Report. Participation in monthly team meetings is also a key aspect of this role, along with performing other duties as assigned by management. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. The work environment is industrial, commercial, and residential, often characterized by moderate to high noise levels, and requires comfort with working at heights. The role is physically demanding, involving standing, walking stairs, climbing ladders, and occasionally lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Additionally, you will need to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day, making strong communication and technical skills essential.
