The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local codes and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fire sprinkler technology and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Install and test fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on existing fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and meet current codes and standards.
- Repair and replace fire sprinkler components, including pipes, fittings, and valves.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks, including calipers and tube bending equipment.
- Perform welding and soldering tasks using stick welding.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire sprinkler systems, including identifying and correcting leaks and other malfunctions.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces as necessary.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and construction professionals to ensure the safe and efficient installation of fire sprinkler systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician or in a related field.
- Knowledge of local building codes and fire sprinkler standards.
- Strong understanding of fire sprinkler technology and system components.
- Familiarity with welding and soldering techniques, including stick welding.
- Experience working with hand and power tools, including calipers and tube bending equipment.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, or crawling.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
