About the position
The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support for firearms and related hunting merchandise. This part-time role involves greeting customers, assisting with their needs, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience while maintaining compliance with regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain counter sales and customer service for firearms and hunting merchandise.
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Provide information, assistance, and direction to customers.
- Complete 4473 Forms thoroughly and accurately.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and assist customers in making buying decisions.
- Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store for sales at the gun counter.
- Replenish product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
- Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales and maintain pricing and signing.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in firearms.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
- Understanding of ATF Federal and State Regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior firearm sales experience preferred.
