About the position

The Firearms Associate position at the Exchange is focused on delivering exceptional customer service in the Firearms and Sporting Goods departments. The role involves maintaining product knowledge, organizing firearms, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing a welcoming shopping experience for customers. Associates will engage with customers, assist with transactions, and contribute to a positive store environment while adhering to safety and legal standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with eye contact and a smile.
• Acknowledge every waiting customer promptly.
• Listen to customer needs and ask follow-up questions.
• Ensure customers have an extraordinary shopping experience.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Retail experience.
• Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with Inventory Control procedures.
• Prior knowledge and experience with firearms.
• Understanding of ATF laws and regulations.
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Ability to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions.
• Willingness to cross-train and work in other areas of the store.
