About the position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining sales operations at the firearms counter. This role involves assisting customers with their purchasing decisions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing merchandise effectively to enhance the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain counter sales and customer service for firearms and hunting merchandise.
• Greet and acknowledge all customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs.
• Make product recommendations based on customer analysis.
• Promote programs such as CLUB membership and in-store pickup.
• Ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store for sales at the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of experience in retail.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of ATF Federal and State Regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience in firearms and ammunition.

• Experience with merchandising and stocking merchandise.
