About the position

The Firmware Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of distributed batteries for a power company in the greater Austin area. This position involves collaboration with hardware and embedded teams, focusing on firmware development primarily using C. The role requires onsite presence in Austin, Texas, and is a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hardware and embedded teams to develop firmware for distributed batteries.
• Engage in 100% C development for firmware.
• Work on Bare Metal programming and microcontroller integration.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C programming language.
• Experience with Bare Metal programming.
• Familiarity with ARM or other microcontrollers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with C++ programming language.
• Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Prior industry experience in firmware development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
