About the position

The Firmware/Software Tester at Alliance Laundry Systems is responsible for verifying the user interface and machine functionality of laundry equipment according to design specifications. This role involves testing control boards and ancillary systems to ensure compliance with engineering and marketing standards.

Responsibilities

• Verify operation aligns with machine specific documentation and requirements
• Use simulation and scenario testing
• Perform testing on test boxes and actual machines
• Accurately document all test activities, including steps, time, methods, and materials
• Identify and document inconsistencies in issue tracking system
• Log progress of control and machine verification
• Maintain accurate reports of all testing
• Conduct final validation testing prior to design freezes and releases
• Organize and assist with lab machine updates
• Communicate clearly with firmware developers and other software evaluators to ensure issues are identified and corrected

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent is required
• Experience with issue tracking systems, a plus (YouTrack, GitHub)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated
• Excellent time management skills
