About the position

The Change and Release Manager at RSM plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning, scheduling, and control of changes and releases to IT systems within the Managed Services Practice. This position is essential for ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently, minimizing disruption to services while aligning with business objectives. The role offers the opportunity to work in a startup-like environment, contributing to the development of the Managed Services offering from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the change and release management processes.
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of changes and releases to IT systems.
  • Ensure that changes are thoroughly tested and documented before deployment.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to assess the impact of changes.
  • Monitor and report on the status of changes and releases.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a change and release calendar to ensure timely and coordinated deployments.
  • Manage risks and issues related to changes and releases.
  • Ensure compliance with change and release management policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to teams on change and release management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in change and release management or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in change and release management tools and software (e.g., ITIL, ServiceNow).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
