About the position

The First Call Telephonic Customer Service Representative at Zenith Insurance Company is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling a high volume of phone calls, documenting conversations, and assisting with claims processing. This entry-level position requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage diverse client needs efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Answer a large volume of phone calls promptly and efficiently.
  • Document all phone conversations in the notepad system for departmental access.
  • Obtain information over the telephone or from written correspondence to complete and process the Notice of Injury.
  • Gather additional claim/injury information for the three-point contact.
  • Handle calls from various states, funds, and clients with diverse needs.
  • Respond to requests for provider information using various source materials.
  • Schedule medical appointments for initial treatment and fax required documentation to providers.
  • Assist in printing and mailing daily notices of injuries as per state and office requirements.
  • Perform clerical duties associated with First Call requirements as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Entry-level position with previous call center experience preferred.
  • Claims or nursing background is a plus.
  • Typing speed of 35 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Personal computer and mainframe computer skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Exceptional telephone skills and manners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized.
