About the position

Great Hearts Live Oak Lower School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of a long-term substitute teacher for First Grade. This position is set to commence on October 1st, or earlier if possible, and is located at 7653 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX 78233. As a long-term substitute, you will serve as the lead teacher in a first-grade classroom, guiding students through their educational journey in a supportive and engaging environment. This role is full-time but temporary, providing an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners. As a First Grade Long-Term Substitute Teacher, you will be expected to facilitate a Socratic style of learning, guiding students in their quest for knowledge, truth, goodness, and beauty. This role requires a strong classroom management ability and a passion for working with young students. You will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, implementing lesson plans, and assessing student progress while collaborating with fellow educators to foster a supportive educational community.

Responsibilities
