About the position
The First Grade Teacher at Lehigh Elementary is responsible for creating a nurturing and inspiring classroom environment that fosters the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development of young learners. This role requires a commitment to working collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues to enhance educational outcomes and support school improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Plan an individualized program that meets the needs of all learners.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and sparks student interest.
- Diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of each individual learner and employ instructional methods and materials that foster growth and learning.
- Use appropriate technology in teaching and the learning process.
- Support school improvement initiatives by actively participating in school activities, services, and programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Florida teaching certification eligibility.
- Classroom experience, preferably in early childhood education.
