About the position

Woolsey Morcom is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a focus on First Party Property Coverage to support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of cases. The role requires a strong background in insurance defense or first-party property plaintiff experience, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Discovery Requests, including requests for production, requests for admissions, and interrogatories.
• Prepare defense discovery requests and monitor discovery responses from opposing counsel.
• Prepare various types of motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence.
• Process pleadings, motions, and correspondence using e-service and the Florida e-filing portal.
• Prepare materials in support of pleadings, motions, and depositions, including legal research.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in insurance defense or first-party property plaintiff experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients, counsel, and court personnel.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Clio Case Management Software.
