About the position

The FIS Quality Engineer III is responsible for leading the development of comprehensive test strategies and plans for high-profile, complex initiatives within the organization. This role emphasizes maximizing automation to ensure fast delivery based on requirements, while providing expertise in testing efficiency and innovative solutions. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure quality software delivery across multiple platforms and lines of business, acting as a subject matter expert in quality engineering frameworks and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of end-to-end test strategies and plans for complex initiatives.
  • Maximize automation in testing to ensure fast delivery based on requirements.
  • Provide test expertise focusing on efficiency and innovative solutions.
  • Act as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Journey Test Lead, collaborating with various teams.
  • Consult with stakeholders on quality software delivery and testing best practices.
  • Develop and implement test automation frameworks and strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for test asset reusability and efficiencies in the testing approach.
  • Drive quality metrics and improvements in delivery processes.
  • Mentor and coach team members on testing principles and practices.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering and testing.
  • Strong academic background in software engineering or computer science.
  • Hands-on expertise in testing planning, design, automation, and execution.
  • Advanced debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of direct experience with Fidelity Systematics applications such as IM, ST, AM/ALS, RM, TX.
  • Exposure to TOSCA and skills to run Tosca automation scripts.
