About the position

The YWCA Greater Newburyport is seeking a part-time Fiscal Clerk to support the fiscal department. This role is crucial for ensuring that all programs operate smoothly and fulfill the organization's mission. The fiscal department handles payroll, HR functions, and vendor relations, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Review accounts payable and ensure each payable has the appropriate documentation required for payment.
  • Enter invoices into fiscal management systems and prepare checks for signature.
  • Assist with payroll processing and manage the payroll processing system (Paycom).
  • Track all grant income accurately and thoroughly.
  • Manage all donations processed through Stripe.
  • Assist with filing and spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks without supervision.
  • Strong math and computer skills.
  • Experience processing sales transactions in a point of sales system.
  • Ability to remain calm when collecting from those in arrears.
