About the position

The Fiscal Support Manager for Property Accounting at the University of Arkansas plays a crucial role in overseeing the tracking and management of the institution's moveable property and equipment. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in tracking and managing asset data for the institution's moveable property and equipment.
  • Complete reports and documents for fixed assets.
  • Maintain the software overseeing the annual physical inventory of fixed assets.
  • Ensure compliance with asset tracking and reporting requirements.
  • Review and update policies and procedures related to asset management.
  • Communicate with staff and faculty at all levels of the university.
  • Oversee regular and hourly staff, ensuring effective team management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, general business, or related field.
  • At least three years of fiscal-related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience using Workday or a similar system for asset or financial transactions (preferred).
  • Experience in state government or higher education (preferred).
  • Experience in business process maintenance (preferred).
  • Knowledge of barcodes and scanning technology.
  • Strong initiative to learn and maintain current knowledge in the area of assignment.
  • Programming and data reporting abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
