About The Position
The Fish Cutter position at Times Supermarket involves cutting, trimming, and preparing quality seafood products for display while providing excellent customer service. The role requires greeting customers promptly, taking orders, weighing, and pricing products. The Fish Cutter will pull items from the freezer, cut filets, chunks, and cubes according to company standards, and ensure that seafood items are stocked and rotated to maintain freshness. Additionally, the position includes displaying merchandise according to schematics, adding ice to the seafood display case, and preparing poke and other seafood products from recipes. Basic cleaning of the department, including washing and sanitizing work tools and areas, is also part of the job responsibilities. The work environment is air-conditioned in the store, but the temperature in the meat department can range from 40-50 degrees, requiring the employee to be comfortable working in cooler conditions.
