About the position

The Fitch Band Assistant Director/Rock Band position at Austintown Fitch High School is designed for an individual who will assist in the management and direction of the school's band program, specifically focusing on rock band activities. This role is integral to fostering a positive musical environment and enhancing students' performance skills in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing the rock band and other related musical activities.
• Support the head band director in planning and executing band performances and rehearsals.
• Provide instruction and guidance to students in musical techniques and performance.
• Ensure adherence to all board policies and state laws regarding music education.
• Complete required training and courses as assigned by the administration.

Requirements

• Appropriate and valid Ohio Teaching License applicable to the position.
• Currently teaching in the grade and content areas of the position.

Benefits

• 5% of the Base Salary in accordance with the AEA Negotiated Agreement for AEA Members.
• 5% of the base salary on the Non-Degreed Certificated Salary Schedule for Non-AEA Members.
