About the position

The Fitness Consultant position at Element Fitness is a full-time role focused on promoting and selling memberships to potential new members while also selling upgrades to current members. The consultant will be responsible for obtaining and qualifying sales leads through various methods, including walk-ins and telephone inquiries. A key aspect of the role involves establishing and maintaining a minimum of 10 lead boxes or bowls in the community each month to generate interest and leads. The consultant will follow up on all prospects using established sales systems and conduct facility tours to showcase the amenities and benefits of membership. In addition to sales responsibilities, the Fitness Consultant will maintain a planner to track leads and sales activities, stay updated on company pricing and promotions, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Building and maintaining positive relationships with staff and supporting colleagues in achieving their goals is essential. The consultant will also participate in scheduled meetings and enroll new members while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintaining a clean and operationally sound facility is part of the role, along with consistently achieving or surpassing personal and club sales goals. The position requires excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills, along with a thorough understanding of Element Fitness's membership sales systems. The consultant must demonstrate proficiency in various sales-related tasks and maintain a positive attitude while engaging with potential and current members. Physical requirements include daily standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching, making it essential for candidates to be physically capable of performing these tasks. The role involves working 40 hours per week with morning and evening shift rotations, including one weekend day per week.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell memberships to potential new members.
  • Sell upgrades to current members.
  • Obtain and qualify sales leads via walk-ins, telephone inquiries, and other approved methods.
  • Establish and maintain a minimum of 10 lead boxes/bowls in the community monthly.
  • Follow up on all prospects using established sales systems.
  • Conduct facility tours and telephone inquiries using established sales systems.
  • Maintain the FC planner using established sales systems.
  • Stay up to date on company pricing and promotion schedules.
  • Maintain information on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff, and policies.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop selling skills and participate in sales meetings.
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff and support other employees.
  • Enroll new members and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and operationally sound facility.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass personal and club sales goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to successfully pass all testing requirements including facility tours and sales audits.
  • Thorough understanding of Element Fitness membership sales systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
