Our Fitness Counselors will actively pursue enrollment of new members through self-generated and company-sponsored programs, promotions, and referrals. In this fast-paced, energy-driven position, you will find success by supporting potential members in fulfilling their fitness goals. Your lively sales approach and magnetic personality will ensure that new members pursue their goals. The position is designed to create connections with prospective members, help them become members, and engage with them during the follow-up process to ensure their success. The core purpose of this role is to create loyal, lifelong fans and exercise practitioners. You will be responsible for membership sales, including club and individual services, products, and programs, as well as membership billing and customer service. This includes being an information hub for product knowledge, programs, and events. To succeed in this role, you must fight hard to win, take ownership of results, and adapt well and quickly to various situations. You will need to communicate effectively with members and teammates, embodying a customer service mentality. Being a team player is essential, as you will be expected to jump into any task and get it done. Strong mathematical, analytical, and sales skills are crucial, along with being extremely organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding work environment. Attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality work is a must. You should be available to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, mornings, early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and late-night shifts. Comfort with technology and good phone etiquette are also important.

Responsibilities

  • Actively pursue enrollment of new members through self-generated and company-sponsored programs, promotions, and referrals.
  • Support potential members in fulfilling their fitness goals.
  • Create connections with prospective members and engage with them during the follow-up process.
  • Handle membership sales, including club and individual services, products, and programs.
  • Manage membership billing and customer service inquiries.
  • Serve as an information hub for product knowledge, programs, and events.
  • Maintain building and equipment safety and cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Must be CPR certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Sales experience preferred (1 year).
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with fitness industry products and services.
