About the position

The Fitness Manager at Crunch Fitness is a leadership role responsible for managing the personal training department, driving operational excellence, and ensuring a superior member experience. This position involves business management of trainers, operational oversight, KPI management, and fostering a positive team culture. The Fitness Manager is expected to engage with members, develop high-performance teams, and achieve financial goals while promoting the company's 'No Judgments' philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the personal training department and create a supportive team culture.
  • Conduct bi-monthly meetings and manage the PT calendar.
  • Collaborate with the Membership Team for PT sales at the point of sale.
  • Assume Manager on Duty responsibilities in the absence of the GM/AGM.
  • Coach trainers on business and sales strategies.
  • Generate PT sales leads and schedule lead generation activities.
  • Achieve monthly and annual financial goals for the department.
  • Communicate with potential leads and manage client relationships.
  • Establish and maintain service standards for trainers.
  • Identify and develop key talent within the training team.

Requirements

  • Health club and gym management experience (Required)
  • Certified Trainer (Required)
  • Strong business acumen and financial performance skills
  • Ability to create a positive team culture
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to manage a high volume of inbound communication
  • Strong technical skills
  • Ability to hire, train, and direct staff
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the fitness industry
  • Exercise Science/Sports Management Degree preferred
  • Current national certification, CPR/AED, First Aid required.
