About the position

Illuminate Sweat is a small business located in Houston, TX, specializing in personal training within a group setting. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a lively atmosphere, where you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding key performance sales indicators, including membership sales and renewals, retail and concession sales, and maximizing workout traffic. The Sales Associate will also play a crucial role in maintaining premium customer service levels, ensuring that all members feel competent, confident, and connected to our community. As a Sales Associate, you will be tasked with establishing and maintaining an effective referral program, conducting follow-up calls, leading studio tours, and greeting members and guests with enthusiasm. You will engage in all required training associated with the role and conduct fitness consultations for new clients, which includes pre-participation screenings and goal setting. Your responsibilities will also include fulfilling member service requirements, promoting and selling programs and services, and ensuring that the studio environment remains organized and clean. Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an effective referral program
  • Conduct telephone inquiries and follow-up calls for customer care
  • Lead studio tours for prospects and fitness program holders
  • Greet members and guests promptly and enthusiastically
  • Engage in all required training associated with the role
  • Conduct fitness consultations for new clients
  • Fulfill member service requirements such as fitness assessments and equipment operations
  • Promote and sell programs and services
  • Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client's fitness plan
  • Provide superior customer service through complimentary services and programming
  • Document all aspects of client programming
  • Follow the daily studio cleaning checklist
  • Participate in 12 scheduled workouts per month
  • Maintain an organized and clean lobby/front desk area
  • Process accurate cash and credit card transactions
  • Follow up with all prospective clients
  • Respond immediately to member requests, inquiries, and concerns
  • Work closely with the Fitness Team to ensure processes are fulfilled
  • Attend and participate in all relevant training and events

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of personal training experience
  • CPR and AED Certified (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition, and program design (preferred)
  • Ability to perform aerobic activity for the duration of a class
  • Ability to bend, stand, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds

Nice-to-haves
