About the position

The Fitness & Tennis Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the Club's fitness facilities, retail pro shop, and related operations. This role involves ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining operational standards, and developing fitness programs that enhance member engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Club's fitness facilities and retail pro shop operations.
• Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
• Evaluate staff performance to ensure quality service and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain fitness/tennis application and manage member communications.
• Oversee contractually employed fitness trainers and apply member feedback for service improvements.
• Compile operational reports for the General Manager and Director of Racquet Sports.
• Control operational costs and perform regular service and product margin analysis.
• Create ongoing promotions and activities to stimulate sales and member interest.
• Approve fitness invoices and maintain pro shop inventory.
• Lead and manage fitness IT equipment and future needs.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in a health and fitness facility.
• Two years of fitness management experience.
• Retail experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fitness and exercise principles.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, AED, and blood-borne pathogens.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of major health factors and weight-reduction strategies.
• Attention to current trends in fitness and tennis attire and equipment.
