About the position

The FIX On-boarding Engineer will work closely with the trading desk to support external client execution flows. This role involves engaging with technology teams on the client side to facilitate the onboarding of new clients and managing existing client systems and limits. The engineer will oversee production releases and environments for various workflows on global stock exchanges, ensuring smooth operations from a FIX onboarding and operational perspective.

Responsibilities

• Support external client execution flow in collaboration with the trading desk.
• Engage with technology teams on the client side for onboarding new clients and managing existing client systems.
• Manage production releases and environments for CARE, DMA, and Algo workflows on global stock exchanges.
• Work on cost-saving initiatives by reviewing and reducing FIX connections globally.
• Assist external clients with certification for new products and algorithm rollouts.
• Collaborate with QA teams to test new features/functions and perform regression testing for system updates.
• Coordinate with the networking team to implement firewall changes for new platforms/clients.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in FIX client onboarding.
• High-level understanding of FIX protocol.
• Good understanding of Unix.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently read FIX log files to resolve order workflow and session-related issues.
• Networking knowledge (e.g., TCP/UDP, NTP, ICMP, SNMP, etc.).
• Demonstrated high-level client service skills (incident management, operational processes).
• Experience supporting complex business-critical systems and enterprise distributed systems.
• Front office experience, preferably in Futures and Equity Derivatives, and experience with Electronic Trading Systems/Client Connectivity.
• Interest in at least one programming language (Java/C#).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
