Working as part of the global research team, the Fixed Income Investment Grade Research Analyst will develop investment recommendations within assigned US investment grade credit sectors for fixed income strategies managed by MFS. This role involves collaboration with the global fixed income investment department to create specific investment recommendations for portfolio managers. The analyst will conduct deep fundamental independent research using various sources, including company literature, financial statements, business publications, and other external resources. The analyst will maintain ongoing coverage of assigned industry sectors, highlighting investment opportunities through written notes and participation in meetings and discussions with other analysts and portfolio managers. Acting as the in-house expert on designated areas of concentration, the analyst will also perform additional duties as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop investment recommendations within assigned US investment grade credit sectors for fixed income strategies.
  • Collaborate with the global fixed income investment department to create specific investment recommendations for portfolio managers.
  • Conduct deep fundamental independent research using various sources such as company literature and financial statements.
  • Maintain ongoing coverage of assigned industry sectors and highlight investment opportunities through written notes and discussions.
  • Act as the in-house expert on designated areas of concentration.
  • Perform additional duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Master's of Business Administration and/or CFA charterholder preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years industry experience - sell side or buyside, financials or industrials coverage.
  • Ability to work independently, using research, analysis, and communication skills.
