About the position

As a Flagger / Traffic Controller at PeopleReady, you will be responsible for managing vehicle traffic in various settings, including roadways, parking lots, and construction sites. Your primary role will involve notifying drivers of necessary speed reductions or lane restrictions to ensure safety. This position requires effective communication and adherence to safety regulations, making it crucial for maintaining a secure work environment.

Responsibilities

• Control vehicle traffic by notifying drivers of reduced speeds or restricted lane flow.
• Work with a team to establish safe movement of traffic around work zones in accordance with safety regulations.
• Flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead.
• Take ownership of the work zone and ensure vehicles pass safely.
• Place signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices as per job assignment.
• Respond to emergencies as directed and perform tasks to protect public safety and property.

Requirements

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills to maintain contact with the crew.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods.
• Flagger / Traffic Controller Certification is required.
• Valid flagging certification is necessary.
• Background check and drug screening are required.
