About the position
As a Flagger at PeopleReady, you will be responsible for controlling vehicle traffic at roadways, parking lots, or construction sites by notifying drivers of the need for reduced speeds or restricted lane flow. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety of both the public and the work crew, requiring constant communication and adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Work with team to establish safe movement of traffic around work zone, in accordance with safety regulations and/or Department of Transportation regulations
- Flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead
- Take ownership of work zone and pass vehicles safely
- Place signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices according to job assignment
- Respond to emergencies as directed and perform tasks in the interest of public safety and property protection during emergencies
Requirements
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills required for constant contact with the crew
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods
- Flagger Certification Required
