As a Flatbed Driver at Capitol Building Supply, Inc., your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle while adhering to company policies and federal and state regulations. You will be tasked with delivering freight undamaged and providing exceptional customer service throughout the delivery process. This role requires you to work collaboratively with your team to load and unload materials, ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely and safe manner. In this position, you will inspect your truck and trailer for any defects to ensure safe operation before each trip. You will be responsible for loading building materials onto a flatbed or boom truck and unloading them at various commercial and residential job sites. Deliveries will be made to assigned areas as directed by customers, with a strong emphasis on personal safety and the safety of those around you. You will also maintain records necessary for compliance with state and federal regulations and report any accidents involving yourself or company equipment. The role demands physical stamina, as you will be required to lift heavy building materials, sometimes exceeding 100 lbs. You will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
