About the position
The Class C Non-CDL Flatbed Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials and goods to various locations using a flatbed truck. This role emphasizes safety, compliance with regulations, and effective communication with dispatchers and customers. The driver will operate a Class C vehicle without the need for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), focusing on timely deliveries and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Transport items to and from designated locations while adhering to all traffic and company safety regulations.
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers at delivery and pickup points.
Requirements
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
