Responsibilities

  • Develop new flavours as part of innovation and customer projects
  • Cooperate with the application and development departments in developing new successful flavours
  • Optimise and develop flavours using analysis and test results from various departments
  • Adapt existing flavour recipes to special technological requirements, regional market requirements or particular customer specifications
  • Coordinate the evaluation of flavour raw materials and flavours
  • Be part of the international R&D Flavours group for expertise transfer and support of innovation roll-outs
  • Provide expert support for the sales organisation and product management

Requirements

  • University degree in chemistry or food technology or equivalent qualifications
  • Trained as a flavourist with at least 5 years of proven successful experience
  • Ability to work in a team with a high level of initiative
  • Analytical, results-oriented style of working
  • Experience in the development of natural flavours for beverage, bakery, confectionary and dairy applications
  • Excellent sensory and creative skills
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
  • Competent in using common MS Office programmes; preferably good SAP skills
  • Good knowledge of food and flavour law
