About the position

The Fleeing Process Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting production by addressing technical and systems aspects of processes and products. This position involves determining root causes of nonconformances, monitoring quality indices, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and quality. The engineer will also provide technical support for new processes and products, coordinate customer complaints, and lead capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support production in all areas related to the technical/systems aspects of the process/products.
  • Determine root cause(s) for process/product nonconformances and upsets.
  • Assess production feasibility of new processes/products.
  • Monitor/control established quality and production indices.
  • Establish/maintain process/product parameters.
  • Coordinate and follow up on technical aspects of customer complaints.
  • Segregate and dispose of off-quality products.
  • Support and implement methods to improve productivity, capacity, and quality.
  • Define technical projects and goals.
  • Provide technical support to marketing group and customers for implementation of new processes/products.
  • Direct involvement with equipment installation and start-up, including procedures/training.
  • Serve as leader for capital projects.
  • Provide support and coverage to other Process Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in melt spin/draw/winding bicomponent fibers, spun-bonded nonwovens, and operation of major chemical process equipment.
