About the position

The Fleet and Facility Manager at Graf Tree Care is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of the company's truck fleet and equipment. This role emphasizes safety and operational excellence, ensuring that all vehicles and tools are in optimal working condition. The manager will lead a dedicated team, perform regular inspections, and address any mechanical issues that arise in the field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain truck fleet consisting of ¾, 1 ton and 4500 Chevy trucks
• Perform regular inspections of vehicles and equipment
• Maintain equipment and perform oil changes as needed
• Fill out work orders for all work done to fleet and equipment
• Maintain shop and office cleanliness
• Keep necessary supplies stocked such as soap, paper towels, and mixed fuel
• Dispatch to job sites to fix equipment or trucks if broken down
• Diagnose issues on fleet and equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, or electronic
• Install/remove spraying equipment from trucks in off seasons
• Work on small engines for water pumps as needed

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Mechanical and hydraulic system knowledge
• Ability to diagnose issues with trucks or equipment
• Ability to fill out work orders for fleet maintenance
• Steel toe boots
• Own tools
• Welding skills (welder and related tools provided)
• Intuitive and proactive approach to work
