About the position

The Fleet Attendant position at Starship Technologies is a part-time, seasonal role focused on supporting the daily operations of an innovative autonomous food delivery service. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining and troubleshooting delivery robots, and ensuring they are operational and clean. This position is ideal for tech-savvy individuals who are excited about working with cutting-edge technology and contributing to a sustainable delivery solution.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and detailing the robot fleet to ensure they are presentable and operational.
• Executing start-of-day and end-of-day charging and cleaning of the robots.
• Transporting robots to delivery areas by ebike or foot, which may involve lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Performing weekly Merchant Preflights to identify service-related issues and provide troubleshooting assistance.
• Assisting robots in unexpected situations and reporting issues to the onsite team.
• Maintaining the hub-based warehouse and conducting regular inventories.
• Participating in remote and onsite training for operational tasks.

Requirements

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently both indoors and outdoors.
• Willingness to take initiative in unexpected situations.
• Experience working with electronics is beneficial.
• Ability to use hand and power tools or willingness to learn.

Nice-to-haves

• Availability for weekend shifts is highly preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a restaurant or workshop.
